Vanessa is a first year Graduate student and Digital Content Designer at Carleton University in Music and Culture. She received her B.A Honours in Communication and Media Studies from Carleton University as well as a Diplôme d'études collégiales in Communication: Art, Media, and Theatre from Cégep Vanier College in Montreal. She has the privilege of working with companies and organizations such as The Canadian Academy of Recording Art and Science's Juno Awards, Carleton University's Department of Social Work, and the Canadian Department of National Defense. Now currently a graduate student pursuing her MA in Music and Culture, she aims to focus her research in Social Justice and Urban Music. She has dedicated her freelance digital design career providing free digital communication services to clubs and non-profit organizations within the Carleton University, Ottawa, and Montreal community that focuses on diversity, inclusion and equal rights. She currently holds the creative director position for Carleton University's highly recognized Inclusion and Diversity Committee for the Department of Social Work. Vanessa is supporting PROTOHYVE as a Communication Officer.
