Resources
Since the PROTOHYVE Symposium in April 2023, we have been collecting and archiving resources that can be used and shared with students, faculty, and artist-researchers more broadly. Some of these resources can now be accessed in person in the SurveillART: care-laboratory at Carleton University (Ottawa) in Dunton Tower Room 1105. We are continuing to collect resources such as prints, dissertations, successful funding applications (graduate and faculty), ethics applications (graduate or faculty), postcards, small artworks, notes, archival materials, or anything that might be of interest and support. If you are interested in sharing a resource or two, please fill out the form below. We are also interested in supporting authors and publications by purchasing books for the physical library.

report
A report about the 2023 symposium on research-creation is forthcoming. This report will include a summary of the event, suggestions for funding agencies and para-public institutions on supporting RC, quotes and accounts by participants about their needs, resources for research-creationists across the country.
lab access
Are you an artist-scholar visiting Ottawa soon? If so, reach out to see how you can access the SurveillART: care-laboratory for disruptive exhibitionism and research-creation for your research and digital art making. Short self-funded artist residencies may be possible, schedule permitting.
workshops
and consults
At this time PROTOHYVE does not have the capacity or funding to do workshops or information sessions about funding, curriculum development, ethics applications, or student supervision. However, if you would like to organize a workshop, consultation, or require support editing a grant or graduate school application, you can reach out to the Director Dr. McKnight as part of their private practice here.
Do you require access to any of the resources above? Or, do you have a resource you would like to share with us (print or digital)? If so, fill out this form with as much information as possible and we will be in touch.
We are currently looking for:
1. copies of successful ethics applications (both graduate and faculty from all universities in so called Canada)
2. copies of dissertations or MA theses
3. copies of successful grant applications ie. SSHRC (graduate or faculty)
All resources can be redacted as much as desired by the author of the piece.
