Cait Jones is a PhD Candidate at Carleton University in the Department of English Language and Literature. Her interdisciplinary work at Carleton University evokes historical and sociological perspectives in order to study literary works by Black LGBT+ writers. Specifically, her work investigates the ways in which shifting laws, “diversity” campaigns, and social policies shape the artistic output of Black women and Black LGBT+ writers. Cait has experience in event planning and organizing, staff and volunteer management, as well as diversity consultation.
