Fara is supporting PROTOHYVE by curating an art exhibition in winter 2023. She is a second year Ph.D. student at Carleton University’s Institute for Comparative Studies in Literature, Art and Culture (ICSLAC). Before moving to Ottawa, she received her MA degree in Visual Cultures e Pratiche Curatoriali from Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan. Having lived in Italy for over a decade granted her the opportunity to collaborate with international artists and curators by means of the Venice Biennial and other landmark cultural institutions and museums in Europe. Her research interests involve the display strategies in place to include or exclude political and/or private interests into national self-representation at the Venice Biennial. She also works as a Teaching Assistant (Italian Language Support) at the School of Linguistics and Language Studies.
